Encofarms Foundation is a Section 8 NGO and the parent entity for community development programmes across Northeast India. We work at the intersection of agriculture, horticulture, livelihood creation, youth empowerment, and environmental stewardship — building sustainable futures for communities that have long held this land.
Our flagship programme, ALSIPOP, supports poppy-farming communities in transitioning to alternative, legal, and profitable crop systems. From coffee to cardamom, agarwood to avocado — we build with permanence in mind.
From coffee as our anchor crop to agarwood, cardamom, vanilla, kiwi, and avocado — we build diverse, high-value crop systems that create lasting economic foundations for farming communities.
Our flagship programme transitions poppy-farming communities toward sustainable, legal, and profitable alternatives. Economic dignity, not dependency — built crop by crop, family by family.
Young people in Northeast India deserve futures here. We skill, connect, and back the next generation of agri-entrepreneurs — turning farming into a profession worth staying for.
Gender equality, environmental conservation, cultural preservation, and historical documentation. The land and its people are inseparable — and both deserve to be protected.
